Red Hook / Rhinebeck Little League doesn't generally have a firm grasp on what a season's schedule will look like, but we understand that parents would often like whatever information we can offer to help plan their children's activities. This page is meant to be a rough guide to how our seasons go, and not a promise.

Tee Ball

Tee Ball runs in the Spring from the beginning of May through mid-June (around when school ends) and in the Fall from mid-September through mid-October. There are two one-hour events per week (typically Mondays and Fridays, starting around 5:00 or 5:30), and each day is part-practice, and part-game.

Baseball

Minors Baseball

Our Minors Baseball programs (Coach Pitch and Player Pitch) generally consist of a single game and a single practice each week. Games and practices run for around an hour. Practices will be held on the same day each week, on a day chosen by the team's coach. Games depend on whether the division is playing in the district (typical for Player Pitch) or in-house (typical for Coach Pitch) that season.

Coach Pitch Games

Coach Pitch games are typically run in-house, meaning only Red Hook / Rhinebeck teams play against each other. These will usually be scheduled on the weekend, Friday evenings or Saturday/Sunday afternoons. Each team will have one game per week.

Player Pitch Games

Player Pitch games in the district can be on any day of the week, on fields from nearby towns. You can visit our Locations page for more details on the fields. They're all within an hour or so, and most are quite a bit closer than that. Many of our games are still at Red Hook and Rhinebeck fields, even when we play in the district.

Because the schedule is created by the district, we usually don't have it until practices have already started.

Majors Baseball

Majors Baseball practices twice per week and plays in the district, which means games can be on any day of the week, on fields from nearby towns. You can visit our Locations page for more details on the fields. They're all within an hour or so, and most are quite a bit closer than that. Many of our games are still at Red Hook and Rhinebeck fields, even when we play in the district.

Because the schedule is created by the district, we usually don't have it until practices have already started.

Softball

Coach Pitch Softball

This program is new this Fall 2024. We're looking for players and coaches!

Practices

Spring practices usually start the last week of March and run through the beginning of June, when the season ends. There are 2 practices per week, and can be any weekdays, determined by the team's manager. Practice times are 6:00 PM through 7:30 PM.

Minors/Majors Games

We have 2 games per week during the season and travel to other towns. In Spring, we start in the first or second week in April and run through the beginning of June. One game is during the week and the other is on Saturday mornings/early afternoon. The district sets a 12-game schedule. Half of the games are at home (in Red Hook) and the other half away in other towns, which are typically 30-45 minutes away.

Because the schedule is created by the district, we usually don't have it until practices have already started, and we don't know in advance which days of the week they'll fall on.

Jr/Sr Games

The season starts the first or second week of April and ends the first week in June. We have run both doubleheaders on the weekend or 2 games on 2 different days in the past (there's always been a game on Sunday, and the other game is sometimes a doubleheader that Sunday, or on a weekday). We do travel to other towns as well. The district sets a 12-game schedule. Half of the games are at home (in Red Hook) and the other half away in other towns, which are typically 30-45 minutes away.

Because the schedule is created by the district, we usually don't have it until practices have already started, and we don't know in advance which days of the week they'll fall on.

The Fall Season

Practices and games are typically the same as in the Spring season, running from the end of August to the end of October. We will have 2 practices per week, with 2 games during the week. The district would set the schedule, as in the Spring.
